Hello Tepido-san, So what has happened to LB?
I had been following LB’s comments since before Debito banned him. In fact, that was one of the reasons I parted company with Debito; I felt he was getting too dictatorial in his deletion policies. Look how right I was there!
Actually, then I almost never agreed with LB’s opinions, but after reading his forthright, yet often humorous, comments on Tepido for a while I found myself thinking more often that he was a very reasonable guy.
And just when he had won me over, he vanishes taking with him large parts of threads that surely were public property. Almost something Debito might have done….Talk about a let-down!
LB, if you are there, maybe you don’t owe us an explanation for your puzzling behaviour, but I and probably other commenters and readers of this blog would sure like one!

He is a reasonable guy. He treats Japan and the Japanese as the members of his family just as he treats the people of his home countries as the members of his family.
He didn’t like Debito org attacking Japan and the Japanese unfairly but at the same time he didn’t like me to pick up negative news articles about the West.
Perhaps we disagree about the way we fight against Debito org. I want to relativize Debito org’s and some English media’s Euro-American centric narratives by picking up the similar incidents and racism, probably he thought that it was not constructive , rather destructive just as Debito org’s attacks on Japan and the Japanese. For my part, though I have no intention to demonize the West, facing such persistent narratives often, I can’t help thinking it is a necessary stage to reach the horizon where Japanese and non-Japanese talk about and handle the similar problems together, standing upon the equal footings, he would disagree.
So there were disagreements between us, but by and large i.m.h.o. he is a reasonable guy and probably 人情家.
